I have updated http://www.rydonlodge.com/ so once again you can see what Beth and I are up to. I will be updating what we have been up to since Christmas 2008.

The website has some way cool features like comments and more. To use comments and to get these update email I added your email address as a user on the site. If you would like to leave a comment on a story you see, simply click on the "Add comment" link and login with your username and password.

Earlier this year we began the process of driving around looking at paint colors on the "Approved" list for our HOA.   After two weekends and hours of driving around looking at 500 shades of tan, we finally decided on one of the approved pallets.  We submitted our selection to the Architectural committee and a couple weeks later we were approved and began the search for painters.

This week the painters came out and painted the exterior.  If you are just stopping by you will want to bring your GPS because you may not recognize the house.

Al came down to AZ to catch a couple of the Coyotes play off games against the evil Red Wings.  He was able to watch the Coyotes win one and loose another.  He also played Puckhead on the opposing team so I could deny him some goals.

I was in net for the yellow team.

Whenever he had an opportunity he shot.

I blocked, then he would get another chance and he would shoot again.

Al managed to get the puck by me, but I think 45 minutes of ice time on Line 1 tired him out a bit.

Once again on April 16th I found myself listening to "the division is consolidating support expenses".  Laid off - so I am a free agent, yet again.

Needless to say I am really starting to wonder if this career path is really that stable.

I quit running my own business for the stability of a job with a regular pay check.  How stable is that really if between reorganization, restructuring and consolidation I keep finding myself looking for another source for a regular pay check?
